Residential & student support services
Through the residence halls, the university provides students with support and help them define and build up their future. To do so, students are encouraged to become involved from the beginning and to acquire management skills through organization of social, cultural or sports events.
Many services are indeed available in order to make things easier for students. Breakfast is served in the common room every morning. Each residence hall is equipped with such amenities as a kitchen area, a TV lounge, a laundry room with washers and dryers and other lounges throughout the building. The Housing staff is in charge of cleaning common areas.
Residence halls don't only offer accomodation but also a place to live and share ideas. They are mainly (60%) for 1st-year students of the Lille Catholic University (40% are reserved for continuing and international students).
Continuing students are responsible for planning social events and a residential life team is formed every year to welcome new incoming students. Two representatives for each residence hall are therefore selected in order to coordinate actions with the Housing Office and to allow everyone to be successful in their studies. Consequently, the teams of representatives have to be actively involved from the beginning of September.
